Things To Do (March 19-24)
cherry blossom guide, free art walk, farmer's markets
the cherry blossoms
The cherry blossoms are in full bloom - which I have mixed feelings about… they weren’t supposed to bloom this early! But, I’m still going to try to seen them ASAP. If you need a full guide on cherry blossom walking routes, cherry blossom themed food & drinks, and cherry blossom themed activities, check out my Google Maps.

things to do this week
Probably one of the best things to do this week is prioritize seeing the cherry blossoms (especially at sunrise, and maybe do the Hains Point loop rather than the Tidal Basin…), but here are some other exciting events I’m tracking:
[Cancelled & reschedule for 3/30] Bloomaroo 🌸 the annual Bloomaroo Cherry Blossom celebration at the Wharf! There’ll be cherry blossom themed food and drinks, activities, and pink fireworks at the end of the night (free, Sat, 2-9pm)
Blossom Family Celebration 🌸 at the National Museum of American Art! This is family friendly with crafts, face painting, performances, and it’s free (free, Sat, 11:30-3pm)
Spring Art Walk 🎨 this is Georgetown’s annual Spring Art Walk with 8 local venues showcasing artwork, paintings, art workshops etc. This would be great to roam around Georgetown, grab a coffee, and see some art (free, Sat, 12-5pm)
Free Art Thursday 🎨 every Third Thursday you can get free entry into the Phillips Collections after hours from 5-8pm. You can wander around the exhibits, and entry is free where it’s otherwise typically $20 (free, Thurs, 5-8pm)
farmer’s markets
Lastly, this week is officially spring, so here are some farmer’s markets that I love:
Dupont Farmer’s Market (Sundays at 8:30am)
Eastern Market (Tuesday - Sunday) but I’d go on the weekends
Old Town Farmer’s Market (Saturday at 7:00am) - my fav one in the DMV
