Things To Do (March 26-31)

kite festival, pink fireworks, tulips

pick your own tulips

Maybe even better than the cherry blossoms are all of the tulips that bloom around DC! One of the coolest spots is Burnside Farms where you can pick your own tulips for $20. There are fields and fields of tulips it literally feels like you’re in the Netherlands. Burnside Farms is about an hour drive outside of DC, so definitely check it out for a taste of the Netherlands in Virginia (tickets).

things to do this week

It’s finally starting to feel more like spring, and the events that I’m tracking this week feel like that too:

  • Bloomaroo 🌸 the annual Bloomaroo Cherry Blossom celebration at the Wharf! There’ll be cherry blossom themed food and drinks, activities, and pink fireworks at the end of the night (free, Sat, 2-9pm)

  • Blossom Kite Festival 🌸 the Blossom Kite Festival on the National Mall has hundreds of kites flying around the monuments. There will also be music, performances, and a kite competition and it’s free (free, Sat, 10-4pm)

  • Farmers Markets
