spring day trips

With the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to start planning your spring day trips! I Just took a quick 8 hour trip to Annapolis, MD - it was such a blast! It’s either a 45 minute drive or a 1hour bus (for only $10!). You can find my Annapolis Day Trip video linked here and my travel guide map linked below!

things to do this week

I cannot believe that it’s actually April… March went by soooo fast. But I am definitely ready for this warmer weather. Here are some great events that I’m tracking for this week:

  • The Nationals Opening Week is against the Pittsburg Pirates Wed & Thurs and the Phillies Fri-Sun. If you list in DC, you can also get last minute tickets starting at $5 at the box office in person.

  • The first ever Cherry Blossom Pop-Up Market is happening in Dupont this Saturday & Sunday with ~75 local vendors. If you go Sunday midday, you may also overlap with the Dupont Farmer’s Market!

  • There’s a free family celebration called Petalpalooza this Saturday from 1-9pm on the Capitol Riverfront. There’s be food trucks, live performances, a firework show, and it’s free.

  • This Friday from 6-8pm, Dupont is hosting their monthly Dupont ArtWalk which includes free entry into the Embassy of Portugal and 10 other art galleries / cultural centers. Pair the Dupont ArtWalk with dinner and drinks around Dupont for a perfect night out.

  • Lastly, the partial solar eclipse is coming through DC on Monday between 2-4pm, and the National Air and Space Museum is hosting a Solar Eclipse Viewing Festival on the National Mall for free.
